Health regeneration question.
I have a vampric item that has health regeneration -1. Is there a way to counteract that? Possibly with something that gives health regeneration +1? If so, what items do that? Thanks.

Certain necro and monk spells can do that.

So there aren't any items that give you health regeneration +1? Oh well.

I have a sword doing the same. What I dont understand is that without the sword equiped my health starts to regenerate quite fast. But with the sword equiped I only lose hitpoints. I would expect the -1 just slows down a little bit the natural health regeneration everyone has. But it completely disables it and drains my life instead

remember that while in combat you have 0 regen. This means you will have a -1 regen while in combat but while out of combat you will regen just fine and stay at full hp. I would recommend having another weapon equipped that you can switch from and to when you are in combat. There is no real reason that a zealous or especially vampritic weapon should be on 100% of the time, but when you start banging on someone you should equip and dequip it once engaged on a target.

The rule for this ability isn't very well written. Basically, it changes your health regeneration TO -1 instead of removing one pip. When you're not in combat, you can have health regeneration up to +10 (+1 for each pip), but the vampiric weapons always give you a -1 total so you're always degenerating at one HP per 3 seconds (though I may be wrong on the regen/degen time).
Bchan was right about the extra weapon though. Keep another weapon on hand to equip after combat and you can easily avoid the degen when not fighting. |

you have to prepare extra weapon when you use that vampire thing. As a monk, it is very very annoying to see someone's hp melting when no mobs are around.

No, no no no you guys have got it all wrong! You want to sit there with your vampiric on, wait until you have 10 health left, then LEEEEROOOOY JEEEENKINNS.
Mending counteracts it nicely though, I normaly ask my monk to bring it since I can't spare the extra energy pip (I use live vicarosly and vigorours spirit in pve). |

Personally... Unless the vampiric weapon is at least +3/-1 I will not touch it. When I do deside to use my +5/-1 Vampiric Bow it is never equiped until battle.
